Our last day in Unalaska was devoted to outreach and meeting the locals to tell them about our research and the area around them called Margaret’s Bay. We had a radio interview planned with KUCB to discuss our research and advertise the event, and then the outreach event was held at the Museum of the Aleutians. After our radio interview, we collected some samples to share with the public. Some of us went to the extreme to get a particularly swift moving hermit crab! We set up outside the museum and we had a great turn out! People were very interested in our jellies and there was a nature walk afterwards.
