    What is JSEP?

    This logo was designed by the Joint Committee (Greenland, Denmark, US) for projects approved by the international committee.

    JSEP stands for the Joint Science Education Project. JSEP is an international field-based polar science education program for students and teachers from Greenland, Denmark, and the U.S. Participants learn about current polar science and research methods while staying side-by-side with polar scientists working at field stations on the Greenland ice sheet.

    Who participates in JSEP?

    Students are in their last two years of secondary schooling (juniors or seniors in the U.S. system). Each country has their own selection process for students and teachers. Science teachers who are motivated to learn about polar science and include it in their curriculum also participate.
