PolarTREC (Teachers and Researchers Exploring and Collaborating) is a program in which formal and informal educators spend 3-6 weeks participating in hands-on field research experiences in the polar regions. The goal of PolarTREC is to invigorate polar science education and understanding by bringing educators and polar researchers together.

The Svalbard Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) is offering exciting opportunities for students to participate in polar science research projects in Svalbard, Norway. Funding provided by National Science Foundation (Arctic Natural Sciences) in collaboration with the University Center on Svalbard.
The students' task is to produce a brochure for both the Arctic and the Antarctic.
