How exciting that it is time for tagging the seals!!

  1. Do the seals seem to mind when you tag them? Does it bother them?

  2. How many seals are you able to tag each day?

Hi Ms. Watkins and Ms. Vescovi's 1st graders!Yes it is a very exciting time! Each day seems to get better and better!
You asked some great questions - I'll answer them one at a time.
1. Do the seals seem to mind when you tag them? Does it bother them? In my opinion, they don't seem to mind too much - although some seals reacted differently. Since one of our goals is to not cause the seals any stress, we cover their eyes with a towel. We've found that calms the seals quite a bit.
2. How many seals are you able to tag each day? So far, we've only tagged one a day. But we hope to do two - and if we're lucky maybe even three a day,
