Hi Alex!

We've just read your earlier journal on Learning the Lingo. Below are our guesses--we'll check out the right answers next.

A few of us want to say hello:

Joy: I'm in PolarClub and in 6th grade and send us pictures of penguins and Weddell Seals please!! And I hope you don't run into any dangerous animals!

Lucia: Hi! Have fun in Antarctica! Don't get cold! Stay warm and don't caught in a white out (Condition 1)!

Samm: Hi! I'm Samm. Ms. Brown went to Antarctica earlier. Don't lose a toe!

Greetings Polar Club!!
I was so thrilled to receive your question and comments and you did an awesome job with the 'Learning the Lingo' challenge!!!
First, let me address your comment:
Joy: I'll be sure to post pictures on my journals - so be on the lookout! We haven't seen any penguins and we've just begun to see seals. (I had to go through a lot of training before I could go on to the ice). I hope I don't run into any dangerous animals either!
Lucia: Thank you! I am already having a blast and am trying very hard to stay warm. The weather has been pretty warm - for Antarctica that is - so hopefully we won't encounter any white-outs or Condition 1 weather but if I do I'll be sure to post it on one of my journals.
Samm: Hi! Samm. I followed Ms. Brown's adventure. It was very exciting, wasn't it! I bet she's told you a lot of great stories. As for my toes - I thinks my Bunny Boots will help protect my toes.
Alicia: Hi! Alicia. I love animals, too - especially Weddell seal. What is your favorite animal? Our team has to follow strict rules when working with the animals - so no hugging is allowed.
