Icy at Heart

It's been a full 30 days since I got back from my adventure! Time sure does fly, and yet, I missed being on the ice nearly every single day. And now all I want to do is share this experience with my community and my audience of future scientists.

Last week, I had my first Jargie performance of the year and I featured a video from the South Pole. I had a lot of young scientists come up and ask me all kinds of questions about it afterward. This is just the beginning.

I am coordinating with libraries and Boys & Girls clubs in LA County to set up presentations and share Antarctica with them. I am also working on creating some free resources for parents and educators. In a way, my adventure continues as I re-live Antarctica through the eyes of all the students I get to speak to. Maybe a few of them may even do their own science at the South Pole one day!

I am excited to follow along with the new cohort of educators, to find ways to collaborate, and make the most of this incredible experience PolarTREC provides.
