Dear Glenn, I chose to follow your journal for my PolarTREC homework for several reasons. I too grew up in Northern NY (Waddington & Malone), teach Earth Science (that includes an Oceanography unit based on Antarctica) and I am so curious to hear of about your experiences on the ship. The ocean is what displaced me from the ADKs to north of Boston. I will be heading to Greenland next August to study the glaciers. Enjoy this amazing opportunity..
