What was the temperature/weather like while you were there?  -Kaleigh, Hartford High School

Hi Kayleigh! The weather on my trip varied quite a bit - we had everything from calm seas and sunny skies to hurricane-force winds and thick cloud cover. The temperatures ranged from 30 below zero to a few degrees above in Antarctica (Celsius temps). The gear we had made it quite comfortable to be outside even when it was very cold. Once we started working we even had to remove layers to be comfortable.
It's July in Texas now, and I could really use some of that cold weather!
