Hey Claude!

Was getting a tad concerned as dayyyysssss had gone by. I'm so glad that you are home safe and sound and in one piece. i feel your travel pains. I traveled for 48 solid hours to get home from Christchurch. Can't tell you how many time zones I crossed either. It becomes mind numbing after awhile. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing more!! When does the rest of your team leave the filed??

I cannot believe a whole month has gone by already! I read some of your journal entries and viewed your pictures. It seems to have been an incredibly enriching trip in so many ways. Can you draw any preliminary conclusions from the team's work so far?

Hello Tricia,I echo your sentiment - I can't believe a month could go by so quickly.
It was a truly magnificent experience. I often think of everyone still
out there in the field, their final departure is scheduled for
mid-September. Although I am not an expert, here are a few conclusions
that I can draw. The people who went on this expedition were incredibly
dedicated to their work. The good fortunate of having a camp so close
to excellent locations for finding artifacts is actually the result of
long hours of research of the area and thoughtful collaboration. Since
I have left, the team has discovered artifacts that were in the area of
6,000 years old! Which is just astounding to me that we can find these
things and learn about how people lived so long ago. I know they are
very happy about that development in the project. As for what
conclusions they will draw from them, I am not sure. However, if you
stay tuned there will be a live event and you can ask them yourself live
from the end of the world. I will post when the event will take place
so you can check it out. Thanks for following us.'
blue skies,
Claude
