Hi Lollie,

How has Sweden been? What is the weather like there this time of the year? Any snow yet?

I also love the mural in your classroom! Congratulate the students who created it- it is very beautiful! How big is it?

Hi, Miss Lollie!   My students and I are anxious to hear about your adventures in Sweden!  We are so glad to see the penguin that we sent was added to your mural!We look forward to learning more about  your adventures to Antarctica!  We know how cold winter weather can be here in Michigan!  Be sure to pack lots of warm clothes for your expedition!

Hi Marti and class!I have been busy downloading pictures and preparing the final touches for my Journal entry on Sweden. It should be up in a day or so! It was so much fun and interesting to see the dynamics of planning such an ambitious agenda!! I am so glad to have you along -stay tuned for more updates!!
And doesn't Pinguino look sharp !

Hi Kristin- it was beautiful weather!! Coming from the heat (yes, still) in Houston, it was a welcome change. Temperatures were actually in the 60's-low 70's during the day, then dropped to 40-50's at night. There was always a cool breeze that made it seem a tad colder. The meeting went very well, I met everyone on the science teams and representatives from the Swedish Secretariat, as well as members of the crew. I left with really good feelings about the expedition to come- can't wait to get going!!Read more about the meeting in my jourrnal

What an incredible introduction to your project!!! Literally from the bottom up.- such a neat experience to get such a unique view of the ship you will be on. How many scientists will you be working with?
