Hello Jim! It looks like you're having a great time in Barrow thus far.
I just wanted to let you know that the North Slope Borough School District teachers will start filtering in to Barrow in late July. Many teachers from around the Slope will be in Barrow for inservices during the first two weeks of August. I am sure you will be very busy with your science research responsibilities, but I thought you might be interested in getting the bush teacher point of view while you are in the area.
Feel free to stop anybody you see that looks teacher-ish, or just come by the schools/district office. Everybody is very friendly and would love to speak with a visiting teacher from the Lower 48!
