Hi Heidi, We have enjoyed your entries so far and look forward to more. The students are working up a set of questions for you, but so far seem stuck on finding out whether or not you have seen penguins, seals, or other wildlife.
Did they issue you bunny boots? It is hard to imagine you in anything other than those wonderful Muck boots! I hope you had some time to look around New Zealand before taking off for McMurdo. We were all a little surprized to see that it is as far from Australia as it is. Now the students are learning about NZ in their atlases. One student question is: when you are at the poles, such as at the South Pole where every direction is North, how do you determine East and West? We will look forward to your answer. Be safe and stay warm. Mrs. Peterson and 23 interested students.

Hello Barney and students!
Sorry for the delay in entires! It has been hectic, to say the least but I have placed some new entries and am now working on photos. Thank you for your questions! I am actually getting ready to head to snow school, where they teach you how to survive overnighting in the Antarctic cold, so I will have to return to your questions soon. However, I do have bunny boots, but they are blue and called FDX boots. They are more comfortable but not nearly as stylish! I am working on a photo in my cape to post as well! Keep you eyes peeled and I will be back to answer your questions soon!
 Best,
 Heidi
