You helped train me in Fairbanks, twenty-one months ago. I will be following your exploits on the West Antarctic Ice Sheet at the same time that our colleague Brandon Gillette is working on the East Antarctic Ice Sheet. I hope you both will enlighten us on the differences between these two places. yours always, Michael Wing (Finland '09)

Thank you Michael! Brandon and I have been spending lots of time together since my arrival in McMurdo. Unfortunately, he is on a plane home to the States. Brandon and I hope that our paths will cross again in February as I leave field camp and he returns for a few more days of work. I look forward to answering all of your questions! I will apologize in advance for delayed responses as I don't have internet out at WAIS Divide. It always takes a few days to get the info out of camp and uploaded in McMurdo!
