Hello,

My name is Samantha Kennedy and I have been following your trip for some time now but i do have two questions. What kind of shelter do you have in order to be safe at night from both the animals and the weather? and Do you ever have to stop working because the weather is too unbearable?

 Thanks  -- Sam Kennedy

Hi Sam
Thanks for following along with us!
We have very comfortable accommodations at Isfjord Radio at Kapp Linne similar to staying at someone's home. The best part about staying here is having Jackie to cook our meals! There's nothing better than coming home to a delicious meal after a long day outside. There are a number of dogs around the station that alert us to polar bears or other wildlife by barking incessantly at any movement.
We have not had an "inclement weather day" and from what I hear, we will not have one! Field research is expensive and needs to continue to take full advantage of the data collection and resources while we are here.

Thanks for the great questions!
Missy
