Hi Mr. Martin! It must be so cool to be in Siberia. I was wondering what you guys do all day. I know your group is getting mud samples from the bottom of Lake El'gygytgyn but are you actually the one getting to do that? Just wondering. Please reply. -Leah R.

Hi Leah
I am helping the science team out in all sorts of different ways. All the things I have shown on my journal are things that I have done. I am helping to get the sediment cores out of the lake, helping the drillers, helping the scientists do some of the initial measurements and all sorts of other tasks. Yesterday I worked with the ice engineer. Today I built a wooden cabinet around one of the water pumps, this allowed me to use some of my construciton skills. Every day I have done something new!
