Paula, I know you are focused on biology, but the geologist in me just can't leave it alone. It may be too late for this, but as you traverse the Drake Passage, I'd love to see some photos of the passage and islands that make up that southern tip of South America. Those, along with the photos of porpoises, the bird species, and any other species would be a great addition to what I use for high latitude ecosystems in my AP Environmental Class.

Sure thing, Mike. We actually saw little as we came out of the straits. Theland was pretty far off. I'll give you what I have and hopefully will get
more as we return. I'm trying not to focus completely on biology and trying
to bring up other stuff. So any info you can send to me is greatly
appreciated as well. This place is amazing. We will get to Palmer in the
morning. Saw my first ice berg a couple hours ago. Who knew a block of ice
could be so mesmorizing??
