Through reading your journal entries, I feel as though I am right there with you.  Love all of the photos.  They really give a snap shot of what life is like on your ship.

 My question is about your ship.  How old is your ship and how often does it go out to sea?

 Thanks for the wonderful experience!  We are learning alot!

Hello Amanda,
Thanks for reading.  The HEALY was comissioned in 2001, so still very young as ice breakers go.  The HEALY usually spends eight months a year at sea with some years being more and some a little less, it depends on the science. 
Everyone has been super about me taking pictures, and well, I am having a blast.

Dear jillian sorry I havent been keeping up with ur entries i've been busy. But i got ur post card and those papers from the last week of school. People can show their true colors on paper. I got a new ipod but needs more music its got about 500 songs. so writeback
