Hi Craig,

I've been out with Lee and Jackie on five cruises (what a misnomer).  I know you're going to have an incredible experience, and I 'm really looking forward to reading your journals and checking out your pictures.  Be sure to spend as much time on deck as y0u can; you'll learn so much!

Thanks! The experience is incredible and I have been helping them on the back deck as much as possible, even in the 40+knot winds and temps hovering around 10. As long as you keep moving, you doThe CTD is a big water sampling unit that is lowered into the water to the bottom, and scientists have the ability to take 12 samples at different depths. The CTD stands for conductivity, temperature, and depth. I will write a journal for you today about the CTD in more detail.
