Ok you have surpassed any conditions I have camped in - winter at timberline of Rocky Mountains is the closest i can claim.  It definitely awakens your senses doesn't it!?  But such trips are the best of memory makers.

Could I get a wildlife report from the team? - a list birds and mammals seen (i'm guessing the reptile list would be short).  Is hunting allowed?  If so, you could revisit your primal instincts and drag some meat back to camp.

Your daughter has my email, don't you two talk?! ;-) We're gearing up for yet another storm, so if the first one didn't surpass conditions you've camped through, I think two storms in less than a week certainly will. No wildlife here at WAIS, and only birds, just a few, Skuas, in McMurdo. From the sounds of some emails from town, it appears the sea ice around McMurdo is slowly starting to break up so there is a small chance that when we get back I may see something. That all depends on the sea ice though. I'll keep you posted!No reptiles! Talk to your daughter!
