The R/V Sikuliaq research team, crew and captain really rolled out the red carpet for middle school students and teachers from the Anvil City Science Academy! Although we were all pretty exhausted after more than three weeks at sea, everyone agreed that it was important to complete the students experience with an actual visit onboard the ship. The royal treatment was well deserved as all of the students followed the research team every day while we were at sea by plotting our cruise course, reading our journals and connecting with the team live from the Beaufort SeaThe Beaufort Sea lies to the north of Alaska and the Yukon and Northwest Territories.! Follow their journey onboard the R/V Sikuliaq as they moved through the ships stations from the main deck and up to the pilot house in the photos below!
