This morning was snowy, windy, and generally icky outside. However, even when the weather is less than stellar, it is still beautiful here on the North Slope in Alaska. Inside camp itself isn’t very pretty, but surrounding camp are lovely views of lakes, mountains, and endless tundra.
Here are a few of my views today.
I have asked several of the scientists if the views ever get old/routine after working in the area for a long time. So far everyone has answered with a resounding, “No!” I am glad to be in the company of people who appreciate the beauty surrounding us as much as I do!
