Hey Sarah!

You have been doing such a great job with all of your journals. I love reading them, but it makes me miss Antarctica. It is amazing what a difference there is in McMurdo between October and December. Everything was covered in snow when I was there so it is crazy to see all the surrounding hills without snow. I am jealous of all the other science teams that you are getting to meet and see their research. The other teams were just starting to get there as we were leaving. Anyways, keep up the great work and have a Merry Christmas!

Darlin' Lindsay,
Thanks! I love writing the journals, so it is great to hear that others enjoy reading them.
I cam down here expecting to see nothing but white covering everything all the time, and instead live surrounded by the black and browns of the volcanic Ross Island. Even out in the field I saw more browns, blacks, reds, and greys in the environment than white. Makes sense since I was in the Dry Valleys!
We are experiencing little teases of snow everyday, but no great accumulation.
How is all the holiday baking going?
Happy Holidaze!
Keep cool, Sarah
