Questions: 1: Is the water temperature in Svalbard warmer than the rest of the Arctic sea? I wonder because I know the Gulf currant travels up from Mexico and that is how the Murmansk harbor in Northern Russia stays open in the winter but St. Petersburg harbor in the Baltic Sea closes.
2: What happens to the sediment that travels out of the glaciers? I wonder because by the glaciers its all red and brown but in the open water its blue.
