Students will individually weigh a random sample of pennies. The data will be graphed to look for patterns, then explanations will be sought to explain these patterns. The IceCube Neutrino Observatory is currently under construction in Antarctica, and will help scientists search for elusive neutrinos that can help us map out the universe in new and exciting ways. I will be traveling to the South Pole this November and December to participate in this project, and report back to classrooms across the US. This stop-motion animated video
