Hi Keri! I have just finished up a curriculum project on lichens and am using them to explain symbiosis and air pollution. During my research, I read that in some arctic areas lichen is one of the dominant organisms on the landscape. So, are you liken the lichen up there?
Thanks, Cat Fox

Yep, I'm seeing lots of lichen and I'm a likein' it. Lichen is by far one of the coolest things up here and there's so many species. They grow in many places that other plants can't because they're more tolerant of dryness. My favorite lichen is Dactylina arcitca. I'll post a picture of one for you.
