Hi my name is Gianna and I am from Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton, Florida. I am currently taking a Marine Science course and I noticed the gear you have to wear to keep warm. Does it take long to get used to the climate each day? Is it difficult to move around in the climate with the gear on for hours? Does the climate affect the research you are studying? Last question, Did the climate keep increasing or decreasing each day?

Hi Gianna, Thanks very much for the questions. I have not yet deployed to Antarctica. We are scheduled for departure in Mid January through Mid march 2014. However I'll try to help you with your questions. When In Alaska for training we were reminded that "there is no bad weather only bad clothing." The gear is the best available. and very warm. It is versatile with plenty of pockets, straps etc. to hold gear and other items. Please follow our expedition as well as the others that are deployed now. Thanks for the questions . Glenn Clark
