Great journals Sarah!

I really like the recent one that has the photos of the penguins and the power auger! I can't believe that you didn't see penguins forever and now you are surrounded.

It's good to see that you are all getting some research done despite all the earlier problems with the fire.  Also, the live event on the 16th was great!  Thanks to all of you for doing a great job.

Hi Janet, great to hear from you. We've been moving at a pretty rapid pace in the past week getting everything done. We really enjoyed the live event, thanks for your help with that. We haven't seen our penguin friends up close again; the leads around us closed up pretty tight over the past week, but they look to be opening again as the ice floes on our port side are breaking up a bit. Our large floe is still intact, though a few small cracks have been spotted. We are in our last round of data collection today and tomorrow, then we're heading back to Punta Arenas with some stops along the way for miscellaneous things. It's been a tremendous adventure!
