Hi Mark! Great description of the drilling process. It reminded me of the permafrost tunnel-and seeing the ice lenses and bones in the walls.
So two questions:
1) If you bring up a core that has an ice lens, does that section automatically get frozen to study the gases the ice holds vs. what the permafrost holds?
2) What's the process if you find bone or other animal remains?
