Hi! Sorry it has been sooooooo long, but I have been very busy and the internet connection is not that great in Steamboat Springs, CO. I have read all of your journals and I am so impressed! You are an amazing women (and an amazing photographer!) I definitely want to go to Antarctica some day to do science like you. I'm so glad that you are getting in shape! :) I hope you will forgive me for not writing very often, but I can't believe all of the wonderful science you have been doing. You rock Mrs. Herrmann. Hi Maddy,It's great to hear from you whenever! I hope you are having a wonderful time in Colorado. Are you having good snow? Are you practicing for your ski patrol exam? I've had an amazing trip and am sad to be leaving, but am also happy to be coming home. Thanks for all the compliments. I think you rock too!
See you soon,

The snow isn't that great here, but we have managed to have lots of fun. I have been working on my ski patrol stuff, but I took a break this week. I figured skiing and watching the ski patrol here was enough. :) I miss you and can't wait for you to get back.Love,

That still sounds pretty fun to me! I can't wait to be back too. I'm still on the ship and have been a little bit seasick- not throwing up or anything, just woozy. I laughed yesterday when I met one of the Portuguese scientists at the coffee maker. We were both working hard not to fall over because of the rocking of the ship and he said, "This ship moves like a pig." That really made me laugh!See you soon,
