Hi Lisa!

I have been sifting through your journals and watching the (very helpful!) webinars. I wonder if you could summarize the preliminary data that has been discovered so far? I remember seeing graphs of ocean temperature and salinity by depth in the webinar, but are they available elsewhere for students to view?

Thanks! Lucy Coleman

Hi Lucy-great question. Here are four links that might be helpful for you and your students. The first link includes the data sets up through the 2012 sampling season. The next three links will take you to published papers by the team (and additional researchers that worked with them). The three include many diagrams related to the research.
website #1)
Project: Annual Observations of the Biological and Physical Marine Environment in the Chukchi and Nearshore Beaufort Seas near Barrow, AK

When you go to this link, you can scroll down and find data sets up through the 2012 sampling season. Check out the Niskin Bottle sampling data which may be the most helpful as it includes latitude/longitude, depth, temperature and salinity. There is a data set from 2012.
website #2)
Paper: Episodic Upwelling of Zooplankton within a Bowhead Whale Feeding Area near Barrow, AK
This link will automatically open the paper as a PDF file:
