Hi from the 8th grade class from Mound Valley Kansas! Have you ever found any fossils in the ice? If so what of? Thanks from Bobbi, Kenzie, Brent, and Chase!

Hi Bobbi, Kenzie, Brent, and Chase!
Thanks for sending me a question while I am here in Antarctica. To answer your question, no we have not found any fossils in the ice. We haven't really been looking for any either. The first step to determining if we could find any fossils in the ice is to age the ice. One of the researchers on my team is going to use the samples that we collect to try to do just that. Maybe that will lead to another research project...
