Ann,

I met you at the Sally Ride Science Festival at Rice.  When I told Harris County Commissioner Steve Radack about PolarTrec and your project, he had me immediately sign up the Harris County Precinct Three Senior Education Program to "join" PolarTrec expeditions.  We had volunteers from our new "Grandparent/Grandkid" Science Learning Program participate in the last Webinar and are looking forward to the next one.  Commissioner Radack is a Bellaire High School graduate and sends his best regards.

Looking forward to more vicarious antarctic exploration via e-mail and webinars.  If you need an extra volunteer down there, we have several 60 through 80 year olds taking astronomy, computer, and science classes who are now motivated to join you guys.

As a different generation of our constituents might say:  "PolarTrec and Ms. Linsley ROCK!"

Dr. Bob Kendrick, Superintendent, Harris County government

Dear Dr. Kendrick,
Thank you for your good wishes!  I am back now so if you would like for me to come and talk to the Senior Education Program let me know, I can be available in the afternoons.  Also, there are quite a few "senior citizens" who have gone down to McMurdo to work for a season or more.  They have lots of varied skills and talents that are needed- its only a job application away!!

Hope to hear from you all and thanks again!
Ann Linsley
