What was the rivalry bewtween Robert F. Scott and Roald Amundsen?Laughing

 The competition betwee Scott and Amundsen was over who was going to reach the pole first and claim the honor and the pole for their respective country.  Amundsen reached it first and left a note for Scott.  Scott's party died on the return from the pole.
