Hi Dan, I'm really enjoying learning about the glacial features, especially the rock glacier. Loved the view pic, wasn't a finale spoiler at all! Looking forward to more great views! By the way, I thought the map you posted of the area was really interesting; the lettering seemed so "Old World" and picturesque!

Hi Susan,Thanks for the post. The glacial features around Longyearbyen are really in your face and great for learning landforms. Out here in Isfjord Radio (due west ~30km) the features are a bit more subdued and the story is more about the markings left by a marine transgression (post-glacial flooding) to 65 m elevation followed by holocene periglacial processes. We still have however, lots of rock glaciers hugging coastal valley walls! Hope all is well!
