Hi Jo,

<

p> How are you able to use your GPS on air planes? Are they approved electronic devices? It would be awesome to see a map generated with all your points! Maybe you'll have to put one together when you get back to Idaho.

Hi Kristen.  I try to have a window seat on commercial airlines so I  can hold my GPS at the window and I have no problem accessing satellites and gettingwaypoints/tracking points.  Usually airlines allow GPS units when they also allow other electronic devices (laptop computers).  But in the Hercules LC130, the navigator allowed them to be used throughout the flight.  But again, you had to be near a window and in the Hercules, there aren't many windows.I plan to put together maps of where I have been around Kangerlussuag.  Yesterday I had my GPS on the entire day as we hiked around Lake Fergusen.  And today, I tracked our trip to the Russel Glacier from Kangerlussuag.  So, I will be making a few maps and can post them in jpeg format.
Thanks for your interest in GPS.
