I hope you're in a mood to answer a lot of questions...

  1. What's a glacier exactly?

  2. Is there anything unique about the Svartisen Glacier? If so, what is it?

  3. What's the lab that you're working in like?

  4. What kind of data are you collecting to study the glacier, and what equipment do you use?

  5. What kind of scientists / researchers are you working with?

  6. Are there tourists or mainly researchers there?

  7. How big is the impact of global warming on the glaciers?

  8. What's the coolest thing you saw?

Michael Lampert

a glacier is ice on a hill. the svartisen glacier is the only one where you can get under it a mile in... and it has facilities for lab and living. they collect data on acceleration, and water pressure, and seismicity and lateral forces. the lab is interesting to work in, very simple, warm, full of dirt on the floor..things going on.
