Dear mr wood,

it's Connor baskin from your 5th period class,

what are the anorthoclase phonolite crystals made up of?

sincerly, Connor baskin

John Wood

Hello Connor,
They are a type of feldspar crystal.   The elements they contain are mixtures of Ca, K, Na, and Si.  They are mostly oxides of these elements.  There is information on the MEVO site if you need more.
Cheers,
Mr. Wood
