Early Human Settlement in Arctic Alaska

Hi Karl, I love your journals and your pictures! I am very impressed that you and the team had students out to work with you. I am also impressed with Tia and Jackie braving the bugs and wilderness to join you. My own 16 year old daughter and I enjoyed reading the journal entries they wrote. We just got back a week ago from taking her fellow classmates on a very hot hike and camping in the Grand Canyon.

Hi Betsy, thanks for your well wishes. Yes, Jackie and Tia were tough cookies! Jackie caught a 24-inch fish from the river here and reeled it onto the shore with the same ease most teens make a phone call. I think I learned more from them than they did from me.I hope you and your daughter had a great trip in the Grand Canyon. That's such an incredible place! And you've inspired me to read more about Project Oasis.
