Dear Ms. Pena,

Thank you for your help answering questions from my ninth grade biology class. We have been discussing what it takes to ask a "significant" science question. After reading your journal students were supposed to ask good questions that increased their understanding and knowledge of the science that you are doing. The process gave them a great experiance and your answers generated some good discussion in my class. I appreciate your willingness to interact with the students!

What an adventure you're on! Richard Henry Dana in "Two Years Before the Mast" talks about going around Cape Horn on the way to California from Boston and back. The Drake Passage can certainly be an unforgiving piece of water.

Hartford High is a school of 800 students in the Upper Conneticut River Valley of New England on the Vermont - New Hampshire border. We have several villages that send students to our school and the small town of White River Junction. We are near Dartmouth College which is across the river to the north. We won the state division one football championship this year. We are also the smallest division one school.

Best wishes to you and thanks again!

Sincerely,

Robert Harris
