Hi Mr. Wood!!!

This is Keoni from 6th period. Sorry for not contacting you in this past week. I was going to on Tuesday, but soon realized that my praying mantis egg had hatched, and about 100 mantis' on my bed and 100 in my room, that was a difficulty. So, the answers to the quiz...

1 The factors that cause that area to be a tundra are 1 latitude 2 precipitation 3 temperature 4 permafrost. That makes it so only small plants like cotton grass, arctic willow, drosera rotundiflora (the carnivorous plant), and spruce.

2 In a warmer climate, factors that would change are temperature, precipitation, and soil composition. More animals and plants can also colonize the tundra.

3 There are no large trees because the permafrost blocks their roots, and there is little precipitation.

Thanks!!!

John Wood

Sounds good. Take care of your little ones! See you soon.Mr. Wood
