hi Mr. wood, i wanted to reply to the three questions you wanted us to answer. the factors that cause this areea to be tundra is the climate and the longitude and latitude. the climate will change and be come warmer and sunnier with a warmer climate and the longitude and latitude will not change with a warmer climate at all. The area can not support trees because the roots can not reach all the way through the permafrost layer so it can not get all the nutrients from the soil. we miss you, serena
