Hi Tom, I wanted to ask about how far the snowblower throw the snow. When you blew snow, did it ever get in your face at all while you were driving? How deep did the snowblower dig? I cant wait to hear the answers to my questions! :)

Hi Parker, thanks for the questions. I actually took a lot of pictures and video of the snowblower in action so that the scientists involved in the experiment could see how it worked. The snowblower looked like it blew the snow at least 60 feet which is great because with a tailwind that means the snow might get completely off the experimental plot. I didn't have a chance to drive the machine as it was being tested. Watching Jamie Hollingsworth from the Bonanza Creek Ecological Survey drive the machine it didn't look like he was getting any snow in his face. The snowblower looks like it can easily take 12-16 inches of snow off a flat level surface in one pass. We're going to want it to take off very hard packed snow which I think it can easily do.
