Hello Ms. Dell I have Questions for you.

Is there any type of behaviors that the fish does?

Paula Dell

Hi,Wow. That is a very broad question. I assume you mean do the icefishes behave differently than other fish. I'll check with the researchers on my team. I know that since they have no hemoglobin and cannot store oxygen they try to be very energy efficient. They also have no swim bladder which gives fish the buoyancy you see. So they live on the bottom and mostly wait for their prey to swim past them and CHOMP! If you look at the picture of one on my earlier blog, they have really big heads - all the better to capture an unsuspecting fish.
