Your journal is fantastic and I've already learned a lot! How many spots will you be sampling from?

Great question!  Our team will be sampling from ~20 stations or so, depending on the conditions of a) the sediment (if it is too sandy or very very compact, we can't get good cores) and b) the conditions of the water- if there is a lot of ice we can't send down the multicorer or the CTD because they can't break through the ice- we have to make a hole for them first.  The ENTIRE team of scientists are sampling from ~180 or so stations total- phew!  That's a ton!!
