Hi Rob,

I learned about your trip through the Spartanburg Herald Journal.  I'm interested to learn how global warming is effecting the area. Are there noticeable differences? Hope you are still enjoying yourself!

Hi and thank you for your questions.

I will get some expert opinions on that from some of the people who are from Barrow.   What I do know is that the spring melt comes earlier on average and things don't refreeze as early in the fall.  Also, there is significant erosion at Point Barrow, as much as 40 feet per year.  It's always hard to connect these changes to any one thing such as global warming, but they do signal something is gong on.

I will come back to your question after I investigate some more.
