Your trip seems like it was absolutely incredible! Anna and Sarah's stories were truly inspiring, I am seriously considering going on an REU expedition now because it sounds like an enriching experience on many levels. I was wondering if I could possibly be eligible for an REU trip the summer before I go to college or would I have to wait until the summer of my freshman year? I also found the DNA analysis and microbes revealing how different bacteria contribute to the overwhelming Co2 emissions fascinating. The visual comparisons with the carbonated sodas versus the tea, apple juice, and beer were very helpful in understanding the impact of sunlight on Co2 in general as well.
