Is it summer or winter in antartica and how cold does it get down there.

Are there any animals down there that are not in missouri.

Antarctica is in the southern hemisphere. That means that things are pretty much opposite from the northern hemisphere. If it is fall headed into winter in the north, that means that it is spring headed into summer here. Don't get confused though, summer temps are still only in the mid to upper 20s, maybe the low 30s at times. As far as animals are concerned, we have not seen any yet. I can tell you that whatever lives down here probably wouldn't fair to well in Missouri.

What is the longitude and lattitude at mcmurtle station.how much snow is on the ground in antartica where you are located

McMurdo Station, located at 77°51′S 166°40′E, sits on the southern tip of Ross Island in Antarctica, on the shore of McMurdo Sound, 2,200 miles (3,500 km) due south of New Zealand.By looking at the pictures of McMurdo, you can see there is very little if any snow in most places.  There is enough wind here that any snow is very quickly blown out onto the sea ice.
