Peggy Foletta:

What is an anemometer used for?

How cold is it?

How tough are your living conditions?

From the core samples you have reviewed, how much trouble are we in for global warming?

An anemometer is used to measure wind speed. The living conditions consist of tent camping in remote areas. My computer for typing this response is attached to a solar panel battery which is charged when we get sun. Messages are sent through a satellite phone which does not always work.
We have a separate tent for cooking and eating and socializing in. We have a shovel for digging holes as the restroom facilities. We cook and clean using lake water. We filter the lake water to drink. Every new lake we pack up everything and take two plane trips to transport it all. Then we unpack and start over. I'm running out of power from the solar battery today and there is no sun to charge the battery. So, my updates will get posted when I can get through to PolarTREC. Thanks for asking.
