Airborne Survey of Polar Ice

To Mr. Spuck 1. Did you think you would ever get where you are when you we teaching at OCHS? 2. If you could re-do anything about the trip you have been on or during your teaching days at Oil City High School, what would it be?

Justine,Some really thoughtful questions. Teaching at Oil City has been a true highlight in my life. Don't get me wrong, there have been lots of difficult days too, but those are the days that build character. I can tell you that over the years I have learned so much from the people around me including other teachers, my students, administrators, the custodians and secretaries, parents, etc. that has helped me to be where I am today. Spending time, working and learning, in the polar regions has always been something I've wanted to do, and I do believe Oil City played a key role in making that possible. When you really think about it few dreams are ever achieved by individuals alone. Now that I've been to Greenland, I'm looking to get to the South Pole, and then to space ... we'll see what happens along the road to those dreams. :-)
