Phenology is the study of cyclic and seasonal natural phenomena. It is basically the science of when. When do polar bears hibernate? When is the caribou rut? When do plants bloom?

    Bob Hollister's team from Grand Valley State University is studying the tundra vegetation and how climate change can affect it. They record the timing of the vegetation turning green and blooming every summer after the snow melts.
